Overall Expectations – Discovering the Solar System
C1 evaluate knowledge gained from technological advances of the Solar System both from Earth based observations and planetary explorations.
C2 investigate, through direct observation and simulations, the characteristics of the planets and their moons
C3 demonstrate an understanding of the planets, moons and other solar system objects and how their unique characteristics can help us understand the origin of the Solar System.
We chose to look explicitly at the following 6 C’s.
Collaboration: Work interdependently and synergistically in teams with strong interpersonal and team-related skills including effective management of team dynamics and challenges, making substantive decisions together, and learning from and contributing to the learning of others.
Communication: Communicating effectively with a variety of styles, modes, and tools (including digital tools), tailored for a range of audiences.
Creativity: Having an ‘entrepreneurial eye’ for economic and social opportunities, asking the right questions to generate novel ideas, and leadership to pursue those ideas and turn them into action.
