Impact on Learning Curriculum/6C’s
After this, selected parts of the skills rubrics were used to assess their reflections and determine the location of students on the Deep Learning Progression. I did this, more for my information at this stage than the students, but found it useful to consider the class as a whole, as well as the individual students and where they stood.
In the reflections from the students, they were able to reflect on what they learned about in terms of their skills. They reported learning many different things about themselves and the importance of the skills as well as what they learned about their solar system locations.
The task was designed to ensure that students had the opportunity to delve deeply into their chosen location in the solar system. This allowed the students to decide what most interested them in terms of places to study.
